Domperidone and Omeprazole are medications that are used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and peptic ulcer disease.

 

Domperidone and Omeprazole work in the following ways:

 

Domperidone & Omeprazole is a pharmaceutical that combines the effects of two drugs: Domperidone and Omeprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic that works on the upper digestive tract to speed up stomach and intestinal action, allowing food to flow more quickly through the stomach. Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the amount of acid in the stomach, so treating acid indigestion and heartburn.

 

Usage Instructions :

30-60 minutes before eating, take Omeprazole and Domperidone. The Omeprazole & Domperidone pill should not be chewed or crushed; it should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Your doctor will decide how long you should take Omeprazole and Domperidone based on your medical condition.

Omeprazole and Domperidone, both gastrointestinal medications, are used to treat heartburn, indigestion, epigastric discomfort, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when stomach acid flows back into the food pipe on a regular basis (oesophagus). Peptic ulcers are sores that occur on the inner lining of the stomach and intestines. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome is caused by the formation of tumours in the top portion of the small intestine, which leads in excessive acid production.

Omeprazole & Domperidone is a combination medicine that contains both Omeprazole (a proton pump inhibitor) and Domperidone (a proton pump inhibitor) (a dopamine antagonist). Omeprazole works by blocking the action of a proton pump enzyme in the stomach that causes acid production. Domperidone acts by enhancing the contractions and movements of the stomach muscles. Acid reflux is treated with the combination of omeprazole and domperidone.

Omeprazole and Domperidone should be taken 30-60 minutes before eating. The Omeprazole & Domperidone pill should not be chewed or broken; it should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Depending on your health condition, you have to take Omeprazole and Domperidone for as long as your physician advised you . In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as dry mouth, stomach pain, diarrhoea, headache, and gas.
