     Cefpodoxime Oral Suspension [Mgeepod-50]

What is Mgeepod-50 :

Mgeepod-50 is a kind of antibiotic that can be used to treat a variety of bacterial illnesses. Mgeepod-50 is a type of antibiotic known as a cephalosporin. It works by preventing bacteria from growing. Only bacterial illnesses are treated with this antibiotic. It has no effect on viral infections (such as the common cold and flu). When an antibiotic is used when it isn’t needed, it loses its ability to prevent future infections.

How to Use Mgeepod-50 :

Mgeepod-50 is an oral medication that should be taken every 12 hours or as directed by your doctor.

If you’re taking Mgeepod-50 as a tablet, you should eat something before taking it to aid absorption.

Mgeepod-50 can be taken with or without food if taken as a suspension. Give the bottle a vigorous shake before each dose.

Your medical condition and treatment response determine the dosage. The dose is also determined by the weight of the children.

PPIs, H2 blockers, and antacids are examples of drugs that reduce or prevent stomach acid absorption, reducing the effectiveness of cefpodoxime. Inquire with your doctor or pharmacist about the safety of using cefpodoxime with PPIs or H2 blockers. If you take antacids, wait at least 2 hours before or after you take this medication.

To get the best benefits, use this antibiotic at regular intervals. To help you remember, take this prescription at the same time(s) every day.

Continue taking Mgeepod-50 until the full recommended dose is finished, even if your symptoms go away after a few days. If you stop taking the antibiotic too soon, the illness may come back.

Contact your doctor if your problem persists or worsens.
